The transmission transfers the power of the engine to the tires. Typically, the transmission consists of a series of gears linked to the engine through a clutch or torque converter. Hotrod allows you to choose a number of pre-defined transmissions or to customize a manual (with a clutch), or automatic (with a torque converter) transmission. If you select an automatic transmission, you will need to specify torque converter settings:
Stall This is the stall speed or the RPM at which the Torque converter is locked-up with the engine.
Multiple This is the multiplier value that the torque converter applies when starting from a standstill.
Slip All torque converters slip. This is the amount of slip the torque converter has.
